Leenette McMillan-Fredriksson

imageThe Volunteer Attorney Program recognizes a ttorney Leenette McMillan-Fredriksson for her contributions to pro bono. She has volunteered at several pro se divorce clinics, and drafted advanced directives for indigent clients. She has also helped several non-profit corporations with the incorporation process. She is great with clients and an invaluable asset to our pro bono program.

Leenette McMillan-Fredriksson practices in Mayo, Florida, and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1996. Ms. McMillan-Fredriksson’s practice covers real estate, probate, and advance directives. Ms. McMillan-Fredriksson is also the Lafayette County Attorney and the Lafayette County School Board Attorney. She is an active Member of the Third Judicial Circuit Bar Association and has served on the Executive Board.

In addition to operating a small law firm, Ms. McMillan-Fredriksson enjoys working with various community organizations. Recently, McMillan-Fredriksson agreed to serve on the Board of Directors for the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home in Enterprise, Florida. The Children’s Home is a non-profit organization that supports the needs of at-risk, school age children. In addition to working with the Children’s Home, Ms. McMillan-Fredriksson is active with local young people and their programs. She is the High School Interact Advisor, which is the youth branch of Rotary International. Interact’s main objective is community service. Throughout the year, Interact participates in projects like the Ronald McDonald House, care baskets during the holidays and sending shoes to areas in need through the international organization, Soles for Souls. At the Methodist Church in Mayo, McMillan-Fredriksson is part of the music ministry as the church pianist. During her spare time, she enjoys travelling and working on projects with her husband, Ed.
