SERVICES WE PROVIDE

Although we wish we could provide services to all applicants, our resources limit the number of cases we are able to accept. Provided assistance may be limited to advice or brief services.

Criminal Record Sealing or Expungement

Somtimes an arrest or conviction can be erased or sealed from view. TRLS can help determine if you are eligible to have your history expunged (erased) or sealed. If eligible we can help you with that process.

Domestic Violence/Family Law

We help people who have experienced domestic or intimate partner violence. We can help you get a restraining order to stop the abuser from contacting you.

Drivers License Suspension

We provide assistance in legal cases that involve driver license suspensions (due to nonpayment of court costs, resulting from criminal or civil cases, and insurance-related matters).

Education

Every child has the right to free, quality education in a safe and appropriate setting. Our attorneys help with special education aids, or inappropriate placement issues. Sometimes we can help with disciplinary procedures such as expulsion from school.

Elder Law/Life Planning

Cases involving abuse, exploitation and neglect of an older person are our top priority. We provide free legal help to senior citizens with health care issues, simple wills, powers of attorney …

Foreclosure Defense

We may be able to help you file a response to the foreclosure complaint, assist in the completion of the paperwork to apply for a loan modification, or negotiate an exit with dignity in the form of a short sale, or cash for keys.

Housing/Landlord Tenant

Helping families obtain and keep basic shelter is very important. Much of our free legal assistance involves helping persons facing eviction or home ownership issues.

Hurricane/Disaster Assistance

Was your home damaged in a hurricane? Did you get ripped off in a repair scam? Trouble with a FEMA claim? We can provide free legal help.

We thank you for your service. Three Rivers is ready with free legal help for veterans with housing, income, disability, and with some family law cases.
