Family law cases cover a wide variety of topics. Three Rivers works closely with shelters for victims of domestic abuse by helping victims get civil injunctions to prohibit further contact by the abuser.
We also assist persons seeking a divorce, either with representation or with pro se assistance in filling out the forms. Other related areas include child custody and paternity issues (outside of a dissolution), guardian advocacy (for adult dependants), and occasionally, adoptions or temporary custody by relatives. Three Rivers does not normally handle child support matters outside of a dissolution, nor post-dissolution modifications.
The Florida Supreme Court has created self-help forms for family law legal issues such as adoption, divorce, child support, restraining orders. This forms can be found at Florida State Courts Self-Help - Family Forms.
